Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Anne Burrell. After graduating, chef Burrell lived in Italy for a year, attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, which has had an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to improve the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher, she travels around the US to talk about her culinary passion and professional career. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion in life with others.
